Dora Nkem Akunyili is Director General of the Nigeria National Agency for Food & Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Carole Boyce Davies is Professor of African, Africa-New World Studies, Florida International University Miami, Florida, USA.
Carolyn Cooper is Professor of Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of West Indies, Mona Campus where she teaches Caribbean, African and African-American literature. She also co-ordinates the University's embryonic Reggae Studies Unit, an academic project she initiated. Professor Cooper is the author of Noises in the Blood: Orality, Gender and the 'Vulgar' Body of Jamaican Popular Culture (1993) and Border Clash: Jamaican Dancehall Culture at Large (2004).
Olutoyin Mejiuni is a feminist adult educator who is interested in the political dimensions of adult education and the concerns of women in the teaching-learning interaction and context. She is also politically active in favour of women. Mejiuni has a PhD in Adult Education and approaches her teaching, research and community development works from the emancipatory perspective.
Nkiru Nzegwu is professor of Africana Studies and Philosophy, Interpretation and Culture and Chair of the Department of Africana Studies at Binghamton University, New York, USA.
Femi Mimiko is Professor of International Relations and Comparative Political Economy, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Siendou Konate is a Visiting Assistant Professor of French at Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pennsylvannia. He obtained his doctorate in Comparative Literature with a focus on African American and African Literatures at Binghamton University. His dissertation was on Francophone West African Literature.
Paul Tiyambe Zeleza is Professor of History and Africana Studies at Penn State University, University Park, Pennsylvannia, USA
